    Trip Itinerary Overview

    • Day 1: Yellowknife Arrival

      • Arriving at Yellowknife Airport, guests arriving on Air Canada & WestJet flights will be met by a representative of Aurora Village at the arrivals gate and transferred to the hotel with assisted check-in.
      • After settling in and fitting winter clothing (Nov 20 – Apr 14), depart for Aurora Village for your first Northern Lights viewing experience. Warm up in a traditional teepee with hot beverages while witnessing the aurora in pristine Arctic skies. Return to hotel after viewing.
      • Overnight in Yellowknife.

    • Day 2 & Day 3: Yellowknife – Aurora Village Tour

      • Begin your northern adventure with guided excursions highlighting Yellowknife’s history and Indigenous culture. Visit the Legislative Assembly, Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Center, downtown, Old Town, and drive on the frozen Ice Road (weather permitting).
      • In winter months, enjoy an exciting dog sledding experience through wooded trails near Aurora Village, followed by relaxation at the Teepee Village with open fire and food options.
      • Each evening concludes with a Northern Lights viewing session at Aurora Village, with heated seating included for selected nights.
